Hello, We are a medical technology company looking to integrate an in-app analytics tool. We've evaluated Mixpanel, Pendo, and Heap and are most impressed that Heap will solve our issues. We'd like to be able to determine not only clicks (con of Pendo) but also swipes and other user gestures within our app. Not sold on all three of these, can also look at other tools. We use Cordova, so hoping to find something compatible with that. Any advice?

Thanks

Hello Brett,

Not sure about Cordova and compatibility with the product analytics tools. However, I believe you can set up events to swipe and cross that information with the page or the workflow. I was using Adobe Analytics when I was working on a banking app but I believe that is really really expensive. Other options can be Amplitude or PostHog. Amplitude because I think it is a really good tool and PostHog because of the pricing.

I hope you found this helpful.

Cheers,

Hi there, we are a seed-stage startup in the personal development space. I am looking at building the marketing stack tool to have an accurate view of the user experience from acquisition through to adoption and retention for our upcoming React Native Mobile app. We qualify for the startup program of Segment and Mixpanel, which seems like a good option to get rolling and scale for free to learn how our current 60K free members will interact in the new subscription-based platform. I was considering AppsFlyer for attribution, and I am now looking at an affordable yet scalable Mobile Marketing tool vs. building in-house. Braze looks great, so does Leanplum, but the price points are 30K to start, which we can't do. I looked at OneSignal, but it doesn't have user flow visualization. I am now looking into Urban Airship and Iterable. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Intercom

You might already made you decision, but for us Intercoms new journey builder combined with Zapier really makes a strong competitor at a fair price towards Braze. We use tags in the journey builder to fire of zaps for example sms etc. Intercom also offers a startup pricing at 49 dollars for everything the first year. The downside is they only have support through chat/email, no phone support and sometimes they are pretty slow.

Are there affordable incrementally billed integration options that support web notifications, mobile notifications, email, sms, site/service/app inbox and optionally facebook messenger channels for messaging from a similar API?

We use Mixpanel to analyze our web and mobile apps, enabling us to retain users and build better software by understanding our user's feedback and building off of that data to make it a better experience. Mixpanel is used on all projects.

Hi,

I am in the process of building a mobile application and releasing it to the AppStore. Currently, we're in a TestFlight Beta with ~ 1500 users with a front-end only native iOS app. Before releasing it to production, we would like to add the following functionalities:

  1. User email authentication

  2. Being able to store and synchronise individual user's data ( generated while interacting with the app each day -> "user session" ) between various devices

  3. Having user session data ( anonymized ) available for an admin via a visual interface for querying, generating insights

  4. Simple crud interface for remote configs

  5. a/b testing

  6. GDPR requirements ( e.g. workflows for removing or exporting user data, ideally a way to keep the anonymized data too )

  7. Integration with 3rd party services like Mailchimp or Mixpanel ( which we already use, data is sent directly from the app )

Would appreciate any help with finding the right solution for this case given:

  1. Costs (we don't expect large media files storage)

  2. Flexibility to add new features related to the backend in the future

  3. Infra setup and maintenance

What I've been thinking so far was one of: 1. BaaS AWS/Firebase 2. Custom backend with PostgreSQL 3. PaaS of a Realm type (mobile app already uses Realm for local persistence)

Thanks!
